Service
Floor-plan, reconstruction and workflow design
We plan the department layout around the work, before the drawings are final and before construction starts.
What we review
- SPD layout: room adjacencies, workstation placement, equipment and storage.
- One-way dirty-to-clean flow: soiled in, clean out, with no crossing paths for people, carts or product.
- ICRA 2.0 precaution planning, developed with your infection preventionist for the construction activity and the patients and areas affected.
- FGI Facility Code review of the sterile processing spaces, with the sections cited.
- Phasing: how the department keeps running while construction goes on.
What you receive
- A marked-up workflow and layout review against your current plans or drawings.
- A one-way flow diagram of the recommended layout.
- A draft ICRA 2.0 precaution plan for review with your infection preventionist.
- A list of FGI Facility Code questions for your architect and authority having jurisdiction.
